The 3rd Hungarian-Japanese Symposium on Discrete Mathematics and Its Applications

This is to provide you information about the place where the symposium is held. Please see below for transportation from Narita airport. If you have any questions, feel free to mail at hjquest@kurims.kyoto-u.ac.jp.

Access to the University of Tokyo (Hongo Campus)

There are many ways to the destination. Here are two most recommended ways we would like to introduce you.  In either way, we strongly recommend you to have some Japanese currency for transportation fees before you get into the city.

Way1. Economical way

We recommend you to take a limited express of Keisei line train from Narita airport. From there, you need a ticket to Nippori (10th stop from Narita airport, 73 minutes, \1,000). This line also has a Skyliner super-express, where you could use some extra facilities such as baggage rooms. To be noted that you need an additional fare to take the Skyliner (2 stops, 56 minutes, \1,000 + additional \920). At Nippori, then, you change a line to JR Yamanote line which is located in the same station complex with Keisei line at Nippori station. You need to buy a ticket to Komagome station (3 stops, 5 minutes, \130). Finally, at Komagome, you change to Subway Nanboku line to Todaimae (2 stop, 8 minutes,\160). The University of Tokyo is located about 10 minutes walk distance from Todai-mae station.

Way2. Quicker and Easier way

From the airport, you take a limited express of Keisei line to Keisei-Ueno, the final stop of the line(11th stop from Narita airport, 76minutes,\1,000). This line also has a Skyliner super-express, where you could use some extra facilities such as baggage rooms. To be noted that you need an additional fare to take the Skyliner (2 stops, 56 minutes, \1,000 + additional \920). Then, take a taxi to the University of Tokyo from Ueno (approximately 20 minutes, \2,000).

Location of the University

The University of Tokyo (Hongo Campus) is located at Bunkyo-ku in Tokyo. The nearest subway stations are Todai-mae on the Nanboku line and Hongo-Sanchome on the Marunouchi line, and either Nezu or Yushima on the Chiyoda line. You can walk to the university from these subway stations. The venue is located behind the clock tower called Yasuda-Koudou in the Hongo campus of the University of Tokyo.
